Karen leads the NJCA office and works closely with the Council on best practice governance. She also works closely with the Programs Advisory Committee’s oversight of existing and future programs. Karen is responsible for all the NJCA’s operations;she leads the in-person and on-demand judicial education teams, steers the strategic direction of the NJCA and manages operations and resources. Karen has worked in law and education for over 25 years. She is a member of the Judicial Council on Diversity and Inclusion (JCDI) and the Advisory Board of the Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute (CJEI).
Helen is our Judicial Education Manager – Programming. She brings a unique blend of experience in both education and marketing resulting strong program design, development and delivery skills, strategic planning expertise, excellent people management and communication skills and a sophisticated understand of adult learning principles. Helen works closely with all other members of the team to ensure NJCA judicial education programs and events are engaging and impactful.
Lisa is our Events and Programs Manager, overseeing both flagship, specialty and custom built programs. In particular, Lisa manages the National Judicial Orientation Program, the National Magistrates Local Court Orientation Program, the Heads of Jurisdiction program and the Managing Sexual Assault Hearings programs. Lisa manages programs in close co-ordination with program committees, with enthusiastic, curious, thoughtful and thorough attention to detail.
Melissa is our Events and Programs Manager, overseeing both flagship, specialty and custom built programs. In particular, Melissa manages the Oral Decisions, Writing Better Judgments I and II, Intimate Partner Violence, and Advanced Judicial Skills and Techniques programs. Melissa manages programs in close co-ordination with program committees, with enthusiastic, curious, thoughtful and thorough attention to detail.
