Attorney-General’s Department

The NJCA was established in 2002 with the operational funding support of the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department.  This support has been ongoing for the last 20 years.

The Government nominee’s at both the State/Territory and Federal level on the NJCA Council contribute towards enabling the broad purposes of the NJCA; to provide professional development programs to the Australian judiciary to help them acquire and improve the skills, understanding and practical knowledge that enables them to better perform their work – with the collateral objective of fostering public confidence in the judiciary.
