Leadership Program for Heads of Jurisdiction
The Council of Chief Justices has agreed to a proposal that a program on Judicial
Leadership be held in Hobart in the first half of October 2011.
The invited participants are Chief Justices, Chief Judges, Chief Magistrates and heads of jurisdiction in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
The program will be similar in content and format to the leadership program for heads of jurisdiction held in Hobart in April 2007. The focus of the program will again be on the leadership qualities that a head of jurisdiction needs to develop and on their practical application. All heads of jurisdiction participated in the 2007 program.
A planning committee comprised of heads of jurisdiction from Australia and New Zealand has been formed to develop the program.
